GIFT AID DECLARATION

If you are a tax payer the Friends of Selsdon Wood can reclaim tax on all your donations and subscriptions. Please sign the statement below to make your money go further at no extra cost to yourself but please read the notes first.

I HAVE READ THE FOLLOWING NOTES AND WOULD LIKE THE FSW TO TREAT ALL MY DONATIONS AND SUBSCRIPTIONS IN THE PAST 4 YEARS AND ALL DONATIONS AND SUBSCRIPTIONS I MAKE HEREAFTER AS GIFT AID DONATIONS.

Please Note

1. 1. HM REVENUE & CUSTOMS REQUIRE FSW TO ENSURE THE NAME ABOVE CAN BE LINKED TO THAT ON YOUR TAX DOCUMENTATION.

2. I confirm I have paid or will pay an amount of Income Tax and/or Capital Gains tax for each tax year (6 April to 5 April) that is at least equal to the total amount of tax that all the charities or Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASCs) that I donate to will reclaim on my gifts for that tax year. I understand that other taxes such as VAT and Council Tax do not qualify. I understand the charity will claim 28p of tax on every £1 that I gave up to 5th April 2008 and will reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 that I give on or after 6 April 2008.

3. You can cancel this declaration at any time by notifying the FSW at selsdonwood@gmail.com or by post to FSW Treasurer, Karen Hall, 5, Goldfinch Road, South Croydon, CR2 8SR

4. If, in the future you no longer pay tax on your income and/or capital gains equal to the tax the charities reclaim, change your name or home address, please notify the FSW.

5. If you pay tax at the higher rate - although the FSW cannot reclaim tax at the higher rate, you can claim tax relief when completing your tax return.
