Since the start of the pandemic the wood has seen far more visits from families and children. Many have had fun creating and spotting fairy trees and enjoying the bursting spring and peaceful environment.

On this page we will provide some spotters guides to help you spot and identify plants and animals you will see on your visits and we would also love to publish your accounts of your visits.
Why have Selsdon Woods been important to you during the lockdown?
What have you seen and what will you look for on your next trip?

Please send your comments in to me at govierh@gmail.com and I will be delighted to publish them here. Please give your name and age with your writing.

Or you could write on the FSW Facebook page and I will copy your comments onto this website.

Here are your first guides - to some of the flowers you may spot in the wood this month. The first shows 19 flowers in bloom this month and the second looks in more detail at 3 of the dandelion-type flowers that grow in the fields. Please let us know when you see any of them - with a photo if possible.

A map of the wood is available from our Maps page.
